What got you started: Getting diagnosed with juvenile dermatomyositis.
How do you set your goals?: I focus on the end result and do everything I can to work towards it.
What would be your ultimate achievement/moment?: Scoring the winning goal in the house league hockey championship.
What was the best advice you were ever given?: Don’t give up.
Where do your draw your inspiration from?: My inspiration comes from knowing that I can be better and stronger.
What is your biggest challenge, and what do you do to manage this challenge?: Realizing that I still can’t do some of the things that I used to be able to do is probably my biggest challenge but I manage it by thinking about how far I’ve came.
How has participating in strength training impact your life?: Strength training has made me a lot stronger both physically and emotionally. I’ve learned to do things that at one time never thought I’d be able to.
What would your advice be to kids your age and participation in sports?: Don’t be afraid to try new things and get out of your comfort zone.
